If you want a good dose of fresh air and to immerse yourself in stunning countryside, Cwmarn Forest is the place to be. There is so much to get stuck into at Cwmcarn that it promises to have something that everyone will enjoy.

Pull on your walking boots and indulge in some of the best walking in Wales. For a casual stroll take the Bluebell or Nant Carn walks and spend some time admiring the beautiful scenery. For something more challenging take the 9 mile 1807 walk or have a go at the 12miles of Raven walk circling two valleys and leading you up steep climbs.

If walking isn’t your thing then how about a bit of mountain biking? Grab your helmet and throw yourself down the Y Mynydd downhill run. You’ve got the option with this trail to start on one of two different level runs, so if you’re not feeling too confident you can ease into it.

A more relaxing way to explore the forest is by following one of the many driving routes. Go on a woodland adventure from the comfort of your own seat. You will be enchanted by the tranquillity of the area and will most likely see some of Cwmcarn’s wildlife, even with the engine running! You can also ride a motorbike along the forest drive, which is great with the trees rushing past you and the meandering bends.

For those of you who want to spend more than an afternoon there, Cwmcarn Forest Campsite is well equipped and welcomes campers and caravans. Situated at the foot of the forest drive, this 4 star campsite is ideally located near to local pubs and shops.

Cwmcarn boasts such a wide selection of activities that you’ll struggle to fit it all in. There is even the opportunity for the anglers among you to indulge in a spot of fishing. So whatever your tastes, head to Cwmcarn Forest for an unforgettable experience.
