This impressive 22 acre site is a charity dedicated to the conservation and education of birds of prey. Make sure to get there early – there is so much to see you don’t want to miss a thing! The Hawk Conservancy believes firmly in hands-on learning, so there are opportunities for children and adults alike to hold British birds of prey! There is a range of flying demonstrations throughout the day that are suitable for all ages. Everyone is encouraged to get close and ask questions. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable; you would be remiss not to take advantage of their extensive experience with these fearsome predators. There are birds flying all day, as well as aviaries where you can see the birds of prey at rest. Make sure to watch these giant marauders during feeding times to see their true prowess. To learn more about these beautiful birds, visitors will benefit from going to the keepers’ talks, which occur several times a day. Be trained in keeper lore, from the food these birds eat to flying speeds and personalities. Several of the birds are quite funny!

Visitors should make sure to enjoy Flights of Fantasy, a winding trail that leads visitors through the trust. Enjoy the sculpture exhibition under the watching eyes of the resident raptors. Children will take pleasure in the adventure playground. During school holidays and weekends, there are extra activities for the kids, from duck racing to tractor rides!
