Tatton Park encompasses one of the UK’s most complete historic estates, with a medieval manor house, a Tudor hall, and 50 acres of landscaped gardens. There’s also a farm and a 1,000 acre deer park for you to explore!

Tatton Park has become one of Cheshire’s most popular days out, with speciality shops, restaurant and adventure playground as well as annual events and educational programs.

The Tudor Old Hall was the estate’s manor house until the late 1600s, after which work went underway on a new house, the neoclassical mansion. The manor is celebrated for its collection of paintings and ceramics, Gillows furniture, and is considered to hold one of the finest library collections on the National Trust.

The house was built on a different site to the Old Hall, in 1716 for the Egerton family. Additions and refurbishments were made to the house throughout the 1800s, giving it the neoclassical design seen today. See the wealth and prosperity of the Egerton family throughout the 18th and 19th century, see the Egerton family immortalised in grand portraits and visit the servant’s quarters for a different side to Tatton Park.

The beautiful formal and natural gardens lie south of the hall, and, after extensive modifications over the years have been restored to their original design from 1847. Wander around the gardens ranging from the kitchen garden, to the Italian garden, the walled garden and the wonderful glasshouses. Stay an entire day, wandering through the grand rooms of the manor house and exploring the vast parkland and deer park.
