In the heart of Herriot Country and on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, Monk Park Farm is an ideal day out for children and educational school trips. Monk Park Farm all began with a farm that had stood derelict for more than 50 years, abandoned and dilapidated. Then an idea came. Now, Monk Par has found its calling as a Children’s Farm and Visitor Centre, where kids can watch cows being milked and even feed lambs themselves!

With tons of fun stuff to do and see, Monk Park Farm is home to a variety of livestock and activities that will please the whole family. You can see small furry mammals in the indoor centre, with deer, alpacas and more in outdoor feeding centres.

Monk Park Farm has longhorn cattle, highland cattle, belted galloways, fallow deer and rheas to visit, as well as a play and picnic area and their own tea room. With the fantastic setting of the North Yorkshire Moors, this is a brilliant way to spend time with the kids outdoors against the stunning and dramatic landscape of the National Park.
