Swansea LC is the perfect day out for the whole family. Formerly Swansea Leisure Centre, you can be the first to take advantage of the wide variety of activities offered at this newly-revitalized vacation centre. Originally opened in 1977 by the Queen during the celebrations of her silver jubilee, Swansea LC has always been a favourite holiday destination for everyone in the family.
An immediately recognizable building in coastal Swansea, Swansea LC features the first wave machine to ever be installed in Wales. Following a refurbishment from 2003-2008, Swansea LC is now the most visited attraction in Wales. Visitors can play all day, rain or shine, in Swansea LC’s vast network of pools and slides. Enter a state of relaxation in the wet spa, which features hot tubs, steam rooms, a sauna, monsoon showers, and heated loungers to warm you up from a cool Welsh day.
For the adventurer inside of everyone, head straight to Volcano Bay. Dodge writhing serpents and walk through a wall of water to enter the centre of the volcano! Careful though…the volcano erupts! Find more thrill-packed fun at the Masterblaster, the ultimate waterslide-rollercoaster. Wind down with a trip down the Lazy River that carries visitors over to the wave pool. Younger visitors will enjoy the interactive pool which features a mini-slide and water spouts.
Parents can relax with their tots at the LC Coffee Shop. Just steps away from the LC indoor play arena (with motion-activated special effects!), parents can watch as their children explore a four-tier play centre complete with an aquatic network of slides, ball pits and more!
Not for the faint of heart, adventurous visitors can climb to the sky on Swansea LC’s 30 ft climbing wall. Train like an Olympic athlete at the exhibition hall, which features a constantly rotating roster of events and activities, and is the Official Training Facility for the 2012 Olympic Games!
