The Jane Austen Festival runs through September 2008 (detailed at the Jane Austen Centre website) and includes Europe’s biggest Regency costume Promenade, taking in the Georgian terraces of 18th century Bath; period outdoor festivities and entertainments; a new production of Northanger Abbey; country dance music, dancing and food, plus Regency dance workshops; walking tours and specialist talks; costume photographs at the Jane Austen Centre; tea and breakfast in a city townhouse; and the Jane Austen Festival Regency Ball and dance workshop in the Assembly Rooms.
