In spring 2008, the Deisgn Museum held exhibitions including an annual exploration of ground-breaking design work currently underway across the UK. Brit Insurance Designs of the Year featured 100 projects nominated by renowned designers, curators, critics and enthusiasts. The seven categories were architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactive, product and transport. Also on until 10 August, a Richard Rogers retrospective explores his contribution to British architecture, taking in endeavours like a family house in Cornwall, Paris’ Pompidou Centre, Lloyd’s of London, the Greenwich Millennium Dome O2 Arena and the Cardiff National Assembly for Wales.
