Stowe Landscape Gardens have inspired visitors for generations. With more than 40 monuments and temples, there is always something to explore. From political history to classic countryside walks, Stowe is always the perfect day out, whatever your tastes!

For a fun ride, you can take the land train from the café to the gardens. Head over to the East Gardens to see Stowe’s most famous landmarks from the Gothic Temple to the Temple of Friendship. Wander along one of the many inspiring trails, which feature a backdrop of stunning lakes and valleys.

A must-see is the Elysian Fields. Mythically, they are the home to the souls of great heroes and warriors. Stowe’s Elysian Fields allow you to enter the storybook landscape and immerse yourself in the peaceful winding river and lush landscape.

Kid and dog friendly, the Western Garden at Stowe is perfect for a long walk around the idyllic lake. The more adventurous will enjoy exploring the grottos and caves that are hidden among Stowe’s rolling hills. You can also cycle on the many paths that wend their way through the estate.

After your day out, stop by the tearoom that has sweeping views over the extensive scenery for high tea. Don’t forget to stay for one of the shows or other events during the year. You can see music and more in south England’s most fantastic setting!
