Octopi! Giant sea turtles! Sharks! What else could you wish for at the UK’s largest aquarium?

Start your journey in Plymouth Sound, which features all you want to know and more about the inhabitants of Plymouth’s waters. You can learn about the surprisingly large assortment of habitats that are present in the city’s waters.

Move on to British Coasts, where you can learn about the potential of energy that can be found in our oceans. You can see life-sized models of the whales and dolphins found in British waters. Can you find which one is the biggest? With conger eels and smooth hound sharks swimming and lobsters and crabs hiding in the rocks, you could spend hours here searching out all of the creatures!

See the exotic side of ocean wildlife in Atlantic Ocean, which showcases the largest jellyfish exhibit in Britain. See moon jellies, upside-down jellyfish, and everything else you could ever imagine! This display has the deepest ocean tank in Europe – it holds 2.5 million litres and 1,000 Caribbean fish!

To learn all about what our oceans have to offer, venture into Blue Planet to see the incredible biodiversity that our ocean’s hold. The Great Barrier Reef exhibit is the grand finale and shows off some of the most colourful fish in the world. See how many colours and types of fish you can count!

Make sure to stop by the viewing deck, where fish and sharks swim over your head in a graceful dance. With the sharks and other fishes being so close, there are ample photo opportunities! If you’ve worked up an appetite, stop by the maritime garden to enjoy lunch and kick up your feet. Kids can enjoy the soft play area located near the café.
