There are 440 acres of unspoiled countryside just waiting for you to explore at Itchen Valley Country Park. Walk through the 250 acres of water meadow nature reserves and see the acclaimed Site of Special Scientific Interest that it is so famous for. The best way to get around is along the Meadows Nature Trail, where you can still make out the former man-made channels. With more than 90 acres of ancient woods, there is so much for you to discover in Itchen Valley! Stroll along one of the many forest trails, or hop on a bike and use the off-road cycling path. There’s even a trail for less-able visitors, as well as specific track for dog-walkers. Make a day out of it and stop by one of the many picnic and barbeque areas for a bite to eat!

If you want an active day out, Itchen Valley Country Park is for you! Try orienteering or pond dipping throughout the park. If you’re with younger guests, why not explore the 40 acre recreation field and playground? There are slides, cargo netting, climbing, and even a zip wire for kids to let off steam! With separate adventure play parks for under-nines and older kids, there is something to suit everyone. The trail that links the two playgrounds is populated with animal structures for kids of any age to climb on and explore. If you’d rather see the park from the tree-tops, visit Go Ape! to swing through the branches on zipwires!
