About Birmingham Sea Life Centre

Sealife Birmingham is located at the Waters Edge, near the canals adjacent to the National Indoor Arena in Brindley Place. A stunning family attraction that the weather can’t put a dampener on, a family day out at Sealife Birmingham includes some 60 displays of maritime life, allowing ticket holders to come face to face with a host of mind-boggling creatures, from sea horses and shrimps and to sharks and stingrays. With more than 4500 sea and freshwater animals on show, including a couple of thousand fish, Sealife Birmingham has much to offer, recently bolstered by The Lost City Of Atlantis. Comprising a labyrinth of re-created ancient ruins, it features all manner of mysterious marine fauna guarding sunken treasure, coral reefs, caverns and underwater temples, not least the impressive Giant Pacific Octopus. Around the tentacled beasts swim hordes of darting fish, while the family attraction’s magic mirror maze and the world’s first full-circle acrylic tunnel mean that the residents of Sealife Birmingham are on view to everyone, including sharks, turtles and tropical fishes. Just the ticket!

Sealife Birmingham additionally features a one million litre tank housing giant green turtles and black tip reef sharks, while a host of other exhibits include short-clawed otters, seahorses, crabs, lobsters and rays, ensuring a startling family day out. The family attraction also holds educational talks and feeding sessions through the day, providing an educational family day out, with a ticket to Sealife Birmingham taking in Explore AmaZonia, which has many inhabitants of the rainforests of South America, like razor-toothed piranhas, electric eels, poison dart frogs, freshwater rays and tropical catfish.

Sealife Birmingham ticket holders also have access to the café, refreshments, Gift Shop, feeding and touch pool activities, the Education centre, and plenty of pay and display car parking. Open through the year bar Christmas Day, the family attraction offers tailored birthday packages, including a guided tour of the exhibits, goodie bags, a meal and birthday cake. Hence, a family day out can be even more memorable, as detailed by the Sealife Birmingham website – a family attraction that caters for everyone.
