Instead of being drawn to all the usual tourist destinations, such as Blackpool’s famous Pleasure Beach, visit the World Horse Welfare Penny Farm, the number one place for all horse fans!

The World Horse Welfare was established 85 years ago and have numerous sites located throughout the UK. The purpose of Penny Farm is to take in abandoned and abused horses found locally that are in need of care. Penny Farm works to restore their health, rehabilitate them, and then find them loving homes.

Visitors, particularly horse lovers, will be enthralled by the majesty of the rehabilitated horses. With over 60 horses being housed there is plenty to see and do here! Visitors will be taken on a tour of the farm and will be shown how to professionally groom and feed the horses.

The onsite coffee shop provides a place to sit and relax after a long day, serving fresh food and ice-cream.

Penny Farm benefits from a superb surrounding, as it sits within fields of beautiful countryside, yet not too far from all amenities useful to any visitors. And Blackpool is bursting with things to do from the Pleasure Beach to Blackpool Tower and many other fun attractions nearby, so a trip to Blackpool would certainly involve a number of fun days out with loads to see and do.
