Warwick is Britain’s ultimate medieval castle. It houses history from every decade since being built by William the Conqueror in 1068.

Warwick has become a truly interactive castle that lets you feel like you’ve stepped back into a different era. There are waxworks throughout the castle to show what life was like during various periods of history. Costumed actors in period costumes teach you all you wanted to know about knights, castles, and medieval history!

Descend deep into the dungeons to learn about the many ghost stories of Warwick Castle and hear about Warwick’s dark history. Climb high onto the ramparts for thrilling views across the castle and countryside. While you’re there, take a trip to the Merlin Tower which houses an interactive experience based on BBC’s show Merlin. You can accompany Merlin on a journey to aide King Arthur!

Explore the grounds to test your aim at archery, or try wielding a sword! You can even stop for authentic medieval food at one of the many cooking stations.

The castle is also home to the world’s largest working siege engine! Stay for a demonstration to see how medieval warfare really worked! There is something for the whole family, from the fairytale experience where the youngest visitors can dress up like princesses to the Kingmaker battle experience where you can see what it was like to go into combat in medieval times.

Enjoy the grounds and don’t forget to stop by the Mill Garden, a serene garden in the shadow of Warwick Castle. With its informal landscape and lazy river, it’s a perfect place to relax after a full day out!
